The fact that animals are used in research laboratories for medical purposes is a sad truth. As much as most people would like to prevent the use of animals in research labs, it is nearly impossible to do so. That is why this rescue video is so heartbreaking, but also so very happy at the same time.

These nine beagles were raised in a lab. They existed in that lab in their entire lives. So when a group of rescuers freed them and then took them outside, that was the very first time those dogs saw sunlight or grass. Although the rescued beagles were hesitant at first, it is obvious just how happy they were to be free at last!
