very touching song, and kimmurphy and dollon, you are in my prayers. I also lost a 19 yr old son in accident in 2007, and though im so sorry, it helps to know other mothers have gone thru, including my mother, what tears at me every waking hour as well. God bless you all. I can only imagine was played at my sons funeral and this first time ive heard another song by mercy Me....inspiring and awesome.....

i lost a so called grandpa from cancer it was all of a sudden on my moms side all the family had cancer now their is me and my mom and her half sister and brother is the only ones left now i miss them if tears could bulid a stair way i would walk up them and bring them all back home again but i cant do that and plus they are in a better place then were we are today this is just our temperary home we are not here on earth forever he said behold for i am coming soon but at times we dont think it as soon as it comes when it comes we are like god why me or why us but god knows all of us hust call on him

I have lost several loved ones through the years but when my only child died in his sleep in 1997 I felt empty inside and it never goes away.I think of him every waking hour. He was supposed to go to my funeral not me to his.
It seems so unfair that there are some young people that are living that the world would be a better and safer place if they were never born and their deadbeat fathers could not care less about them .My son was a special needs child and he loved and respected everyone.They would not only not need prisons but also police if everyone was like him. I loved him and made sure he knew it everyday of his life,it just does not seem fair.I did not feel loved growing up....just an obligation.I was mad at God for last thirteen years. Now I have some dear friends that are in desperate need of God's healing touch and I have come back to my Lord(He never left me).

Been married since I was 17 & my wife 15,Only thing I got from high school was a wife and a weed habit, no diploma. After my third child was born , I tried to clean my life up ,quit drugs & got baptized with my wife old fashioned Style ( in the river ,even was double dipped due to the paster dropped me ,lol . Was going to church & feeling great . I didn't hang with my friends & brother due to they still partied & all I did was preach to them & they didn't want to hear the Jesus Freak preaching all the time. I enjoied the fellowship at church & the clean living , till my world turned to sh*t. Life's been so HARD since my little brother was murdered just blocks away from our nations capital in "96. It killed my parents also, even though they lived. They were never the same after his passing. Everything seemed to get worse from there on, I went into a great depression & went back to my life before ,Smoking dope ,drinking , leaving for days on end, riding my mountain bike everywhere,high as a kite, trying to numb to pain . I sometimes would go to Gettysburg & ride the battlefield's till dark then head to VA beach & ride the board walk all night till sun rise. Never sleeping unless I would black out.After 2 years of this b/s ,I lost my business & almost my life .
Then life started getting better till my Dad hung himself in "07 due to very poor health & loss of his eye site. My mom was bed bound due to poor health & also had dementia. My step brother & sister's wanted to put mom in a nursing home but I couldn't do it . I took care of her at home for two years , it was so hard , she had a major heart attack a couple months after dad's passing & was bleeding in her stomach due to ulsters & needed a couple pints of blood & got a skin disorder from it . She looked like she had aids or leprosy . It was bad , even when I took her to the hospital every other month or so for other major complication ,they would be horrified to touch her or treat her. But this was my mom . I kept her home , me & my wife cared for her till Nov. "09 . She got real bad & was hospitalized till they moved her to a nursing home because they wouldn't let me take her home saying she was to bad to go home.Telling me she will get better care there & would be able to come home in a couple of weeks. Everyday she would cry to me she just wanted to go back home. It would tear me apart , it was the worse thing I ever went through. I would always tell her she will becoming home soon as she gets better. She was there for three weeks till she died the day after Christmas. They took horrible care of her , I walked in one day in the afternoon to find her naked in bed on her side with the window wide open and three feet from her in the middle of Dec. with snow outside & a temp of 25% . She was shaking & cold I covered her up the the nurse came in saying she left her because of a emergency,& all this because of she had diarrhea & made a mess? Mom had poor use of her hands and had to have her cup held for her or she couldn't drink either, I know she was not in the best of hands & it was killing me, No one would help or listen to me, I came to see her on Christmas eve & brought her a lobster tail dinner from red lobster & she was out of it , could barely stay awake & only had one bite & spit it out ,I called the nurse concerned why she was this way & she said she was tired but ok (b/S ) . Like a dumb ass I let her sleep & went home . Came back on Christmas Day , Christmas Day People to find her out of it and looked like she was dying. I call the nurse and said call 911,why was her reply ,I told her something is wrong . they acted like they were checking her out , saying the doctor will be here in the morning and will see her then . I SAID B/S U CALL 911 OR I WILL!!! First thing out of the paramedics mouth was " HOW LONG HAS THIS WOMAN BEEN IN THIS CONDITION!!! My heart hit the floor knowing I WAS RIGHT ! Long story short she was taking to the hospital & alot of doctor's were helping her. They said she was septic & dehydrated . The doctor were acting like I brought her from home in this condition. I got very angry & told them she came from the nursing home they made me put her in and not go home. for her condition was from poor health care at the nursing home,& they told me she wouldn't make it through the night, I disagreed saying she was strong & now in better hands. The next day she was moved to IUC & in bad shape . they would only let me be with her for an hour because they were still working on her. It was 1pm when I was called on the phone to come back quickly that they were losing her. I ran to her side to find about 15 people in her room working on her. They said that she had a heart attack & also was septic & dehydrated from poor health care at the nursing home . She looked so BAD ,I told everyone THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE ,BUT SHE WANT TO GO HOME FOR CHRISTMAS & BE WITH MY DADDY,GOD HOW SHE WOULD CRY OUT FOR HIM ALL THE TIME . i HELD HER HAND STROKED HER HEAD , TOLD HER I LOVED HER & THAT THERE WAS NO MORE KARMA , BABA SAID IT WAS ALL GONE AND TO COME HOME!!!!!!!What a messed up life ,Talk about NUMB. My parents were followers of Sai Baba of India & Christians.They would always say to me that all Religion's were connected, & not to judge anyone ! They LOVED GOD & HIS HOLY FAMILY, AMEN.Don't We All ? You know the saying at the HARD ROCK CAFE " LOVE ALL , SERVE ALL " Baba said it! & you will find it there at the Hard Rock. The founder Is a devoted also !!Sai Baba Also Passed this year in April , RIP . Sorry I know I'm rambling on ,but all this is driving me crazy & my mind is racing. I know this is all a test as dad would tell me ,But uncle, dammit, I give . I'm can't take it , Love Ones Pray for me as I pray for me also & everyone else , that there be Peace on Earth.....But I'm afraid that we are in for a world of hurt, pain , suffering . Bring on the Alien's, Polar Shift, Asteroid's , What ever ! I'm Ready & Numb to it all !Feel dead already , This is Hell on earth !Dam video made me cry like a baby, felt good to cry though , haven't in two years !! Thank You Jesus for my family & all that you do! Have Mercy On Us !!

It sounds like you have really been through hell on earth. I will pray for you. Just hang in there and God will see you through. Don't give up. Even though it may all seem pointless , one day you will be rewarded by God. I don't understand why things like this happen to people when they try to straighten up their lives. I believe the devil trys his best to get at the christians and make them stop believing. But God is still there and I pray that things will get better for you. And someday God will reward you for the good care you took of your mother. God Bless You ! Just keep praying and asking God to help you through and He will. As the verse Psalm 46:10 says " Be still and know that I am God". Just trust God and he will not let you down.

I lost my husband 3 years on 10/29th ..it feels like yesturday ....I'm still having a very hard time with him being gone ...but I know God is here with me and protecting me ....I'm just sooooo homesick ..this song really hit home for me .......I love you Tony sooooo very much and I miss you just as much ....I also love You Father God and one day I'll be home and happy with peace

5 years ago I lost my mom to lung cancer. She was my best friend all my life and I am still so lost without her. Then, 3 years ago I lost my partner after a 28 year relationship and I am still in great pain over the loss of both these very important people. I know that God has His reasons and they are not any of my business. But, I still wonder why things happen the way they do. My Mom told me she was ready to go...that she wasn't afraid because she knew where she was going and that it was her time. My partner, though, left suddenly and unexpectedly (she died during surgery) and I never had the chance to say goodbye or anything. I was mad at God for awhile and I didn't want to talk to Him or acknowledge His presence. But, He still holds me close and loves me no matter how I feel about things. I do know that God is never angry at or with me. He is my Protector and Almighty Father. This song is beautiful in its simplicity and message. I thank God for His patience with me. I can act like a child and yet He still loves me!

101 days ago, i lost my boyfriend, the love of my life. the pain is so unbearable. I pray to God everyday that when it's my time to go, I'd see him again. That the love we had here will be stronger and sweeter in Heaven.Even if he's gone, he still mean the world to me. && I'm looking forward to that day where we'll be together again && maybe by that time, we'll never ever let each other go. Love is stronger than death. && death can never kill what never dies and that's- Love.. :(
Others would ask me how I was able to be strong for so long, I simply tell them that I draw strength from God. God makes me strong. I trust him. && I might now understand now, but I know things will get better in the end..

I lost my dad on my birthday 20 years ago, :( then lost my mom 3 years ago, my brother age 44 6 yrs ago, and my uncle this year :( I miss them very much! I love this song, just make me cry and know that forever they will be in my mind, heart and soul. And made me love my family, and cousins more than ever!

My beautiful daughter, Lacey, passed away in April 2001 after battling 18 months with a brain stem tumor. I miss her SOOOO much everyday and want to see her so badly again. This song just touched my heart and made me cry. I miss my little princess.

I lost my younger brother on July 16, 2011, a month after he celebrated his 36th birthday. He succumbed to liver cancer. He was my closest sibling and I was greatly devastated. I asked God for strength since that day my brother passed away until at this moment. I know he's in good hands now, because before he died, he just closed his eyes and said: Jesus, take me with you for several times until he expired.

I lost my 21 yr old nephew in a tragic car accident in 2006.....He was in the Army..went to Iraq for 9 months..came home for his R&R and within 36 hours was killed. I miss him soooo much every single day.And this song is so fitting.I love every single song by Mercy Me!

I am going to be honest. I am not religious, but more spiritual. Somehow, this song really tugs at my heart. So many people can relate to this song, but then again even if someone has not lost a dear loved one, they can still relate. I lost a very good friend August 20, 2008 in Afghanistan. He saved 12 soldiers from dying that treacherous day. He was an amazing man. On Sept. 20, 2008 (exactly a month after the death of my friend) my father past away with lung cancer. That hit me so hard. I had put my self into isolation. I could not feel for the longest time, I am still like that on some days. However, than a great man showed up in my life. June of 2009. He really changed me into showing me that although death occurs there still can be love and you can still continue to live on with your own life. He is my best friend, although we are not "together" we are great friends, he is in Afghanistan. He had made me fall head-over-heels for him. When he gets back next year...I just may be starting a whole new life...much happier one. God Bless our men and women in arms.

I have lost my beloved father on December 09,2000--and still feel so much pain-Even though I live day by day and have to be strong for my mother & my children-I cry everyday for him,for he was my best friend -God please take care of him for he was one of the best men you had put in this earth,and give me back a bit of happiness for my heart & soul is sad & crushed..Can't wait to be beside him one day and I know God will put me beside my beloved father in heaven..Love you Dad & always will,You will never be forgotten & no one will ever take your place in my heart..xox

No matter if I know my beloved father is with the Lord it brings me little consolation. He was my best friend and made me feel special.I know I am a grown woman but I feel like a little girl. He died on November 9th,2006 and the pain is still fresh.I feel as if my life is over and I really do not see any future for myself.He was only 67 years old and had so much to live for. I have not felt happiness or joy for many years.

I lost my one and only son June 28, 2010 @ 29 years old to a horrible train accident. I continue to grieve and cant still come to terms with it. I believe the hardess part is trying to understand what really happen. I still keep waiting for the phone to ring and hear his voice. I hurt everyday! I will never be the same, and very much lost.

We lost our son may7,2011suddenly.Told it was MYOCARDITIS..a virus that gets into the deepest part of ur heart,then ur heart explodes..basicly.There were no signs of anything wrong,he was a little tired but what 17 yr old gettin ready for gradution ,working ,spending time with family and freinds and excited about the next phase of his life wouldnt be at times.We just cant wrap our heads around this...WHY...WHY...WHY?

My husband for unknown reasons took his life in November 2010,My life has been a living nightmare since then,I have not been able to accecpt the fact that he is gone,and cannot let him go. I have never been so devastated by anything like this in my life,and even with counseling I cannot seem to get past any part of the grief process.I miss him so much my life seem kind of pointless,I am not suicidal in any way I just want to be able to accept that he did this and i am not finding any solace at all.

RPete... have you any local Christian counselors? If you're not sure, the people at Focus on the Family can point you towards resources in your area. Grief has several stages to go through. My heart goes out to you, and I pray that you can get some solid Biblical counsel on the matter. You are not alone, friend. *hugs*

we just lost our daughter Debbie (Princess) on Aug 4th 2011 41yrs young had complications with pneumonia never sick only took God 3 weeks to get a new angel will be missed buy tiger her cat and her very close friend Cynthina and brother who they lived together were like peanut butter and jelly and her mom and dad and lots of friends and her church

Lost my dad before 3,mother at the age of 11, and my only brother was murdered, then a few years ago my 19 year old grandson committed suicide. I have no idea if any of these made it to heaven... and I am not sure that I will see any of my loved ones...

This song says it all! I lost my 29 yr. old daughter to suicide 3 years ago and I lost my dad to alzheimers a month ago, after suffering with this dreaded disease for 7 years. I thank God everyday for allowing him to remember who is wife and children were. I wanted to be there when he died and the God Lord granted my wish... I was laying beside him in his hospital bed at home and just told him I loved him and everything would be okay, then he took his last breath.

when my father died a year ago i thought i could do just what he always told me which was to get back up an dust myself off well i went to work thinking that was the only way i could get peace ...it still bothers me my dad was my best friend an my ties to the world he was the strongest person in my life...he made me make sense well my family is somewhat dysfunctional.. so around the time he died he stayed with my uncle an around my aunt (christians)christians that care more about u cussing in the house then what god said ...these people tried to turn my father against me god took him first an when they grabbed him up sick an drug him to a place his mind wasnt able to let him stay they left me left me to walk a mile to get to someone to take me to my father that whole mile god walked with me cuz had he not the devil would have spit fire on them that day at that sleep center but i walked passed them an went to my father an i did what any only child would do....female that is TOLD ON EM! now im 37 years old but my daddy had the power to make me act 5 but he told me something that day i will never forget!...when i told on them he told me not to worry about what they do because they will never seperate us an he said as long as their is breath in my body an my friend setting accross the room was crying her eyes out he said as long as their is a breath in my body they will never come between us an then he said "without u there is no me"that phrase right there has stuck with me an when he died a little over a month later...god delivered me from the hatred i had in my heart for them its pity now ....the road is hard an i count the months since i saw him an im amazed its been this long since i saw his face..heard his voice an i have his laugh when he left i felt like he may have tooken it with him its a struggle because my life was not full he was a big part of it...why ask why when why anit enuff...i had to leave my job i just couldnt handle death dying depression illness an disabilities im a cna im supposed to care but right now i dont an im asking god to give me that back because thats the only talent i have to serve him with cant sang cant preach cant dance all that great eaither but i have a wonderful heart its so forgiving an i get hurt alot but god has made this one stronger...never ask for strength when u dont know how strong u really are cuz its just like daddy whopping u an u asking for anothern...lol

I too have lost loved ones. My dad in 98' (still hurts and think of him often); my uncle & cousion on the same day back in 90' to a tragic train/truck wreck (I still hear and see them)and it took a long time to turn back to my faith and trust again in Our Heavenly Father-for I blamed Him until I realized we are given a free will to live this life on earth. The path is not easy; it is rocky, twists alot and has its peak and valley's. The weeds often grow across the path making it difficult to follow at times. I can't begin to tell you how many times I have tripped, stumbled and fallen onto the path, beside the path and even rolled down the hill from the path. Never give up and know that your loved ones, whether it is your mother, father, a child, grandparents or other relatives who have gone before you are waiting for your arrival at the end of your journey. This life is temporary for it is only a journey. One day I was young, the next day I found myself graduating from high school, the next day I found myself married with children, and now turn around and here I am a grandfather and as I look back I marvel at the speed at which this life has went by. You can't slow down time, slow it down or even reverse it. The pain of a loss loved one is fresh, its real and it is painful, but nothing compared to what would happen if we permanently turn our back on our Heavenly Father and reject Him. Our ultimate goal is to reach the end of the path where we will at last find comfort, peace and a never-ending life and to be reunited with those we have come to love and know along the way. Cherish the memories and focus only on the good times and never be afraid to speak to those who have gone before you because there is comfort in that as well as in prayer and in reading. God Bless and comfort each of you and embrace the love and power of God our Heavenly Father, by walking with Jesus and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you and to comfort you.

This song was sent to me by a sister in Christ. My mom passed away and I just could not move on. Distance separated us and we spoke to each other mostly every day. She was my best friend and above the most cherished mother of all. When I heard this day I could not get up and laid there in bed listened to this song over and over till I heard her say, dry the tears for I am home. With that I dried my tears and went forward. What a beautiful song. I am so brokenhearted for my son, Scott, he was suddenly stricken with AML leukemia and was gone in 5 days! We are all born again, so know we will be with Scott again one day. My sister lost her husband on July 22nd,2011 to five years of fighting cancer. They were married for 52 years. She has never been alone and is having a difficult time. This has been great to send to her. I send her things to help keep her uplifted and motivated. We don't live in the same city so we can visit all the time like we use to, so we stay in touch via computer. I hurt for her, but we can do this together with God, He has,is and always will guide my life for I cannot live without HIM in It. God has gotten me through some tough times and I know that He will get my sister and all of you who have losses in your lives through them. Keep God the center of your life, reach up as far as you can and God will do the rest. This song is very inspiring the photo's are also beautiful and calming.

Perfect song for my friend Mike who when we talked would never let me say "good-bye" That last conversation was he had given me a movie to watch and wanted to know if I felt like the relationship in the movie. And that last day came my response. He said "you don't know how happy that makes me!" But that conversation took place while he was at work at the tollbooth.. a truck came up behind me and I said I had to go. His final words to me were "I will talk to you SOON." (said with emphasis). At 49 he had a stroke and died on 3/30/2011. So when I went up to his casket I said to him I know you never liked if I said good-bye, so I'm not saying it now either and squeezed his hand instead. The entire song is touching. "In Christ there are no good-byes".

The song said a lot about how I feel right now. I know that we had Jesus with us when both my father and sister died, because if He wasn't there we wouldn't have made it through.. This is a wonderful song! I wish there was a "Love It" button! I am 28 years old and I lost my mom April 17, 2010, she committed suicide. She was my best friend and I miss her so much. My husband and I have two girls of our own but due to my moms death we got custody of my teenage brother, and it has been the hardest thing in the world to deal with and it is songs like this that help me keep on going! I lost the love of my life and best friend anyone ever had on January 30th after a long brave battle with cancer. I stayed with him for the month of January at the hospital. Finially bringing him home on the 29th ... where he wanted to be! The Lord took him HOME on the 30th at 1 am. His stay here was short, but atleast he was where he wanted to be with the ones he wanted to be with, me and Chelsea(our cat). As much as I would Love to have him with me again, I know in my heart he is in the best place he could be. And he no longer suffers pain and this horrible illness from cancer. I also know that someday I and Chelsea will be with him again when the Lord decides it is our time to come HOME. For now, I need to be here to fulfill two promises I made to him.One is to take care of Chelsea and keep her safe until it is her time to join him. The other ... I am doing exactly what you wanted my Love ... and will do so until the day I die. I miss you so much .. I hope you hear my words every day! Until later honey. I love you!!!

Great song.. First time listening to it today, And I must say It had me crying like a river..We have lost alot of loved ones along the way as well. But here recently we had lost my niece Tabatha in''05.. Accidental overdose. She leftbehind a beautiful little boy. Then 5 months later my great nephew 's daddy passed away, Accidental overdose. Then here recently Dec. 29,2009 , we lost my dad to a heart attack . Then my mom On April 20,2010, perscription accidental overdose.. Everyday is a struggle, but we must go on untill it's our time.. Son, father, husband, brother, uncle and friend... miss you most when your precious children are in activities you can't share, or when your dear wife is alone for your anniversary, and of course at the holidays when your dad, sister, brother in law and nephews don't have you here to pick on them... Me and my sons lost there dad I lost the love of my life and this song say it all, I asked why and one night God gave me the answer He said how would He know we are worthy of Heaven if we dont suffer and feel the pain He felt when He gave is only Son for our sins, most people turn away from God when things go rough they take there eyes of the prize.
