Kids Give Up Recess To Learn Sign Language For A Deaf Classmate

These incredible fifth-graders decided to skip their recess time just to help a friend. Rhemy is partially deaf and he has to spend most of his time at school with a translator which makes chatting friends more difficult. So his friends decided to start learning American Sign Language so they could chat with Rhemy easier. This is how schools should be instead of all this bullying!

Check out my story on these awesome 5th graders that are learning sign language--all so that they can communicate with a friend and classmate. I think these children stand to teach us an amazing lesson that we can all take something away from--about kindness and accepting others :) Happy Friday!
