so beautiful, this man has been truly blessed. i don't normally cry but this touched my soul. a wonderful performance.

i had to look for more, so i saw that he also released an autism charity song on youtube called 'through my eyes', he has a website at www.scottjames.org too.

While listening to Scott's voice, I had to fight back the tears that were beginning to come from my eyes. What an inspiring voice he has, but more importantly what a courageous man he is. Not only did he impress the crowd, the four judges but he impressed me as well. I am so happy Scott graced us with his talent, I hope he realizes just how good he is...and is going to be in the future....

Omg he is amazing. Such a great story.I know that some of my friends have children with autism and some in the different spectrum. This guy is is an inspiration for us. My son is 18 and has aspergers. He's had a hard life especially in the social aspect and school etc.. But in the past 24 months he has made huge life changes and he is a totally a different (for the better)
person.We all have been through hell and back many times in my family.Parents know it can be a battle with different happenings in their life. Its been16 yrs for us fighting for him. He has a great Dad and Sister that helped immensely.The secret is stand by your child through thick and thin, even if you feel like giving up. I stood by him and never gave up, never. I knew and felt one day that he would have success in many parts of his life...He's graduating, He was very distant and one day came up hugged and kissed me,"Mom I am very sorry for alot of things I did in my life and hugged me." I knew from then on he was changing. We don't yell at my house anymore. Now I feel peace, there is no more yelling and a feeling of hard stress in our lives. He is the love of my life. He is my hero because he went through so much and hung on. I love You BB and am proud of of you.

This video really inspires me! I too was diagnosed with Autism. I have high functioning Autism which is probably the same as Scott James. I had alot of trouble focusing and understanding people and understanding in general. My dad died in January and his name was also by the name of Scott and we played this song on the video as well at his memorial. After my dad died God started using me and began to reveal himself to me. I was at a youth encounter and literally I just started screaming out for God to reveal himself to me because I would not leave the encounter until I received my daddy and he did. At that moment I felt the presence of God for the first time in my entire 20 years on this Earth. It doesen't matter what situation your in or if you have a disease, disorder, or addiction. God will use you and he will take care of your problems. He takes all of your burdens away, he delivers, and he strengthens you. We go through trials for a reason and we may hate what we're dealing with right now, but I do know one thing. God PROMISES that he will take care of every need in your heart and every desire you need from him. Start walking by faith and start believing that God will use you and that you don't have to worry about a thing.

Wow, I was sobbing near the end of his song. it's amazing that he couldn't leave his house for 7 years and then was able to go out on stage in front of all those people. I don't know how far he got in the competition, but I guess it doesn't really matter. He won his own battle.

The BOTTOM LINE is Scott has an AMAZING VOICE with or without Autism! The fact that he found the COURAGE and the STRENGTH to break out of the Autistic Chains and go on stage and sing in front of so many people with so much noise is a TRULY EXTRA BLESSING!
My 32yr old son with Autism has always been a blessing but I know HE wants more and has DREAMS for his life as well.
I'm so happy to see Scott finally reach his DREAMS!

Very encouraging! I am so glad to see is young man sing his heart out,about God especially on National television! He did an awesome job! My son,Nathan is Autistic.He is 18 years old,and he loves to sing as well,and it blesses everyone he gets to sing for.He also sings from his heart. Scott,Nathan and others with Autism,are blessed of God,they are special..they are Gods Masterpieces and they have purpose.Autism is only an obstacle in this life,as other things in our lives,but With God all things are possible,these obstacles can be moved but yet,serve a greater purpose..God knows what He is doing!

this was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes and it drives home that there are still innocent people out there....it gives me hope that my son who was diagnosed with autism might have a chance at a normal life...scott's mother should be so proud of him for having the courage to live his dream....I dont know him but I am so proud and happy for him he has my vote always!!!

I just want to say a heart felt thank you to everyone on GodVine as this wonderful young man is not one for boasting, so others have to boast for him! Scott truly has a gift and knowing his story of life, I can honestly say that this is something that has been given to him. His voice is something that has brought him out of himself and it is as delicate as it sounds, it is as unique as he is. This magical music continues to stun now more than ever, when it is put into the context of autism (Asperger's) Spectrum Scales. People can then understand the really sensitive journey littered with Social Obstacles that Scott faces. Despite the slow pace, Scott is a huge success to think that he ventured out, has offered up his voice and continues to mesmerise without the huge PR budget/support that is afforded others without his journey of life so far. I would hope these humble beginnings continue to grow at a speed that suits Scott with a 'little bit of help from his friends and family (now including GodVine!)so that his potential can truly be achieved! It is wonderful and warming to see such brilliant comments from the GodVine community which show that Talent Shows can be positive if they consist of selfless songbirds like Scott and audiences such as you! xx
