@Itsmedenyce..I completely understand what your saying. Been there, done that before I was a Christian & now I'm in love with Jesus. Problem is that it is the mother's final judgement call on whether to go ahead & have an abortion. I made the wrong call, I am forgiven, I forgave myself. Gone but not forgotten is something I must live with & help others for Christ's sake.

This is soo touching. I wish every person that wants to get an abortion would chose adoption instead. Every child has a chance. God started their life inside a woman, where a woman carries them. God is great. God is wonderful for saving your life!

I agree that we in the pro-life community often forget that men are just as responsible for pregnancy as women and that many women are pressured into having an abortion. Any induced labour before term is an abortion; just because there have been some abortion survivors does not mean that they were not meant to be killed! However, I believe that women and men who have been involved in an abortion need to know that Jesus loves them and will forgive any sin... smile smile smile smile

Every life is a gift from God. It starts in the womb, unwrapped at birth and becomes a blessing or a curse during it's lifespan. All is for a reason. This happened to you for such a time as this. Many will be blessed by your story. Sometimes we have to wait to find the answers to all our questions and sometimes we won't know until we get to heaven. I am so glad your life was spared and know your story will help others who are considering abortion or are survivors.

I'm so sick of listening to people verbally attacking women who choose to have an abortion. We should keep our legs closed... blah blah blah.. we should use protection... blah blah blah... what about the men and their part in it? Why are they always free from the verbal attacks?
Yes I had an abortion am I ashamed? yes, if I could do it over again would I have one? No. All I know is my Lord, My God has forgiven me and that is all that matters. I have had to learn to forgive myself. So Please keep you nasty verbally abusive words to yourself. We punish ourselfs enough and we have to live with the guilt NOT YOU!.

It's so easy to play the blame game, and point accusingly at each other, to raise our voices and scream in disbelief that other people could believe things so differently than we do. But we forget, when we accuse a woman for choosing abortion, that we are pro LIFE- and we should be standing up to support that woman, as well as her unborn child. So many women choose abortion out of fear, or regret, uncertainty, and they need to know that they are loved and cared for- especially by those of us who call ourselves Christians- instead of having to listen to our judgments and accusations. They need to know that there are other choices, that there are people who love them, and will love their child if they are only brave enough to deliver the life that God gave to them. Yes, we need to defend the unborn who cannot defend themselves, but we also need to rise up and speak the truth IN LOVE, realizing how many people have trusted in the lies of this world, that always promise happiness and fulfillment, and "self-actualization", but can never deliver any lasting joy, or purpose, or hope. Be pro-life, but do it out of LOVE!

I know that God forgave me. And I praise His Holy Name for that. But during my life here on earth, many will never understand or forgive me. It is what I live with every day. So I don't normally bring it up. But I will say I have punished myself so many times that I've been hospitalized. I can't bring back the baby I "murdered". I can only express to others to please know that it's best to follow God's Word, and make babies "after" marriage. TY

I see the hand of God all over this story. I see Him using this woman for His glory. I laugh at satan cause he couldn't kill what God will inspire and proclaim His justice and love and mercy. Until our churches and our culture make the "birthmother decision" more supported and embraced, girls/women will feel they have no other option. Let's realize that every child is a wanted child, there are about 2 million waiting adoptive parents, and most of all: the choice to ENTRUST YOUR CHILD TO A LOVING FATHER AND MOTHER is one of the most noble of decisions.

To freetochoose...then it is the womans obligation to keep her legs closed or use protection if she can't afford a baby. It is not the baby being murdered's fault that the mother was irresponsible!!

God has plans for all of us. It is really sad she started her life so horribly by people who dont believe in God's Creations. In rare cases abortion may be necessary but in the other 99% it is murder of a innocent child that didnt ask to be here. I was a unwed mother and pregnant at 18. I had my son he has special needs but I have never regretted having him he is a gift from God. God blessed this miracle baby by giving her a miracle baby years later. Thank God for adoptive parents and there love and care. God Bless everyone in this story. Amen. tongue

This woman did not survive an abortion...she was born viable! An abortion is defined as "The expulsion of an embryo or fetus before it is viable." The procedure this mother went through was when she was 6 months pregnant with a viable fetus! Abortion is a woman's choice, not society's!

AMEN, AMEN, AND AGIN I SAY AMEN. I've been to a couple of pregnancy centers where the girls have incentives to get their pre-natal visits, finish school,and training for jobs. I was in ministry and I brought the centers pallets of items for their babies. Items for cribs, baby care, clothes all donated by businesses all new. That was one of their incentives to see that their babies were born heathy. Whether they kept them or placed them for adoption. Praise God your life and the lives of these other babies were saved.

Abortions were freshly leagelized in the early 70's and I was guilty of having one when I was only 14 years old. I was given what I believed to be "no choice" untill after the fact, being a child, I didn't know how to make my own decisions. It took many years of grief and shame untill I was saved by Jesus. I still find myself in tears knowing I let someone take my child. But I know that God has Grace and Forgiveness to set me free from the guilt. And He has blessed me with a daughter and a son, and 3 grandchildren. I will always feel a special place in my heart for this taken child, but my Lord in Heaven has brought me Peace. I try to help girls like I was to pleeeeeeeeeeeeease THINK, PRAY, and get to KNOW the baby inside them.

This is an amazing story! Both babies were and are beautiful. I often wonder if the birth mothers spend the rest of their lives wrestling with that guilt, and are embarrassed to look for the children they gave away (or tried to abort). I hope you two finally meet so both of you can put that part of your lives to rest and you can offer her forgiveness and God's love.

You are so beautiful inside and out. When I was young, I had to give my infant up for adoption - a little girl. Twenty years ago my daughter located me and even lived me a little while while in nursing school. She is married now with children and she and I are very, very close. We love spending time together and my other family has totally embraced her as a genuine member of our family. God restored us to wholeness. God bless you and keep you in His peace.

My daughter was murdered when I was 5 months pregnant in the Army. Some people like to tell me that "She didn't count". She counted to me. She was born 9 months after I'd gone on "the pill" at my ex's request, then was placed on antibiotics about 3 to 4 months later. I wanted & loved her - but my ex & the military didn't. Until I had a memorial for my daughter - I kept dreaming that my daughter had survived & was looking for me. Her name was Katrina. She was my only daughter - I have sons now.

Melissa, I enjoyed your story so much. God has blessed you with a powerful ability to witness His love and mercy. Your parents were very selfish in their actions, and have missed out on you and that's their great loss. God knew the parents that would love you and care for you. May you and your family receive many, many blessings in the future.
I know that there are others that have aborted children and now suffer. Jesus came for all, and as you repent in your great sorrow over what you have done, know that scripture is true. God forgives and can change your life . Trust Him for your forgiveness today.

You keep doing what God wants you to be doing and if seems like sharing this story!! ;-) and to the person who commented above to seem to think abortion is Gods plan definitely doesn't serve the same God I do. Maybe that's why you kept using "god" with a little g!! To think it is selfish to give your testimony of how God saved you from abortion is selfish you have some serious issues. I'm sorry if you think it is selfish to save LIFE. The BIBLE says their are 7 things that are an abomination to God (things he HATES) and one if them is shedding innocent blood!! Wow that was so impacting! Thank you for sharing the word needs to get out there that, yes, it is murder! The definition of life is growth, at the point the sperm hits the egg there's growth, so therefore it is a life at the point of conception!! That is my firm belief and I believe Gods sees it the same way! I had my son at a very young age and I never once thought of him as a wasted life! Im so glad I didnt "murder" him because he has been such an amazing blessing in my life and I know and tell him all the time God's got great huge plans for his life! I understand what your talking about and I have a need to contact you but don't know how. My story is a little different. My mother was married with three children and prostituted herself out and I'm the product of. When she found out she was pregnant she was six months along and tried giving herself an abortion with a coat hanger. What I don't understand is she felt a need to tell me this when I was just a little girl like three, four years old until I hit my teens. I've been in and out of foster homes from birth to I was six, I'm a incest survivor (from 4 to 14) I could go on about what I lived through, but the bottom line is what Satan tried to destroy, God protected. My body was beaten, burnt and raped repeatably by people of this world, but God protected my mind, soul, spirit and heart. I am forever grateful for that.. God is truly AMAZING...

This story is the story of LIFE. How God of the universe has a plan and a purpose for each and EVERY life. God has a plan for each of you and his plan is to have a life and purpose and he planned it from when the very foundations of the world were created he had YOU in mind. I was a 16 years old girl when I was told I was pregnant. MANY people approached me and told me to abort. I CHOSE LIFE. My son will be 40 years old this year and he has brought more JOY than ANY words can ever say. He is the PLAN GOD had for me.. My son is also living the life and fullfilling the PLAN and Purpose God has for HIM..

abortion is no different than murder. just because they have not come into this world yet does not give people a right to kill them. What do these kind of people think they are doing? Helping these children from a bad life? by killing them? It doesnt matter if ur embarrassed to be pregnant as a teen. give the child that god created a chance to live in this world!!
