Lamentations Summary
The Book of Lamentations is a poetic book of the Old Testament that was written by the Jewish prophet Jeremiah. He wrote this Biblical poem after the destruction of the city of Jerusalem that he attempted to prevent. It mourns the destruction of Jerusalem and the Holy Temple.
