Micah Summary

The Book of Micah a prophetic book in the Christian Old Testament. It is a record of the sayings of the prophet Mikayahu (Micah), which means "Who is like Yahweh?”

The book has three major divisions and each is introduced by the word "Hear," with a pattern of alternating announcements of doom and expressions of hope. The prophet reproaches unjust leaders, defends the poor and preaches social justice.
