I hope that God will watch over the amazing woman I asked to marry me last June 22nd. I did not know that she was an alcoholic and a drug addict at the time I asked her to marry me.

I pray that God will give her the strength, the courage and most of all the will to fight her addictions so she can become who God meant her to be.

I pray that God shows her the wisdom to recognize the truth of her addictions and what damage it is doing to her body, mind, spirit and future.

I hope she remembers how much we love each other and what we have meant to each other over the twenty years we have known each other.

If she ever hits rock bottom and finally recognizes she needs help, I hope she will remember the promise I have made to her--to share our lives and to walk beside her on her long road to recovery, and to love her more each and every day.
