Christine McIntyre is a mother that just wants to bring peace, love and joy into the world, especially during a time where there is so much heartbreak and tragedy. After the school shooting last week, she created a Facebook page called “27 Acts for Newtown."

“This was my way of pushing back that dark and asserting to myself, and my kids, that good does triumph and that light always wins over dark,” said McIntyre. “This feels like, for me, the best way to intentionally honor the families affected.”

27 people tragically died on December, 14, 2012, in Newtown, CT. Christine is asking each and every one of us to commit 27 random acts of kindness to remember those lost in the shooting that day.

“If everyone on 27 Acts for Newtown does all 27 acts, that’s 3,483 individual acts of love,” McIntyre posted on Tuesday morning.

What's even more incredible than one woman attempting to start a movement in honor of those lost... is that people have been performing acts of kindness. These strangers have even been posting on the Facebook page what their acts of kindness have been and encouraging others to do the same.

So take some time out of your day to remember the innocents that were lost last week... and then bring good into the world by spreading acts of kindness!
