Weathering The Storm

They say fear usually triggers the fight or flight instinct. While most of the time this is true, it can also bring about heroic and selfless acts.

So when one man came home to check on his new kitten during a particularly bad thunderstorm, he found that animals can react to fear in courageous fashion as well!

The bright flashes of lightning and deafening peals of thunder had both his kitten and the dog terrified.

But this valiant pup pushed aside his own fears, and did his best to keep this frightened feline safe and sound.

The unlikely pair waited out the storm from the safety of the couch.

These cute pictures had me smiling! But they also reminded me that we all have to weather different storms in our lives. And what a blessing it is when we have someone to lean on until sunnier skies return.

Is there someone out there that could use your support? Or are you in the middle of a storm? Let the words of Jesus help to comfort you - be not afraid, just believe. Focus on Him, and he will see you through the storm!

“Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support.” Isaiah 41:10
