Alcides Moreno is literally a walking miracle. When this Midtown window washer’s scaffolding broke in 2007, he expected to plunge to his death. Instead, he miraculously survived the 47-story fall. The Lord watched over him that day.

Alcides, who is now 43, knows that God saved him that day. Thankful for such a miracle, he now walks for charity. He just finished a 3.1 mile walk to raise funds for a church food pantry.
“I don’t know why I’m still here, still alive, walking,” he told The Post. “Maybe it’s a gift God gave me. My kids think it’s because I never wished bad things to nobody else.”
Doctors and scientists are still stumped; they don’t know how anyone could survive that fall.
“Fifty percent of people who fall four to five stories die. By the time you reach 10 or 11 stories, just about everyone dies,” Dr. Sheldon Teperman, director of trauma and critical-care surgery at Jacobi Medical Center in The Bronx, said at the time.
“This guy absolutely should have died.”
Sometimes God helps us in ways where we can’t even detect it… and sometimes He helps us like in Alcide’s case. He can save us when all odds are against us. Thank the Lord for saving this man and others like him!
