Just last summer, a toddler fighting cancer made a plea… but it’s not the kind of plea that you would expect. She made a plea for pizza! Two-year-old Hazel Hammersley had faith enough to asked her mom and grandma to post a sign asking for pizza on her hospital room window. What happened next was more than the toddler hoped for.

Hazel's sign in her hospital room.

A passerby saw the sign from the sidewalk posted a picture of sign on a popular social media site called Reddit.  When some generous strangers saw the picture online and organized a truckload of pizzas to be delivered to the Children’s Hospital, causing for a full-blown pizza party.

Hazel's get pizza!!!

Hazel’s mother, Lauren, never for a second doubted that God would heal her "little Hazelnut."  She said, "She is going to get through this journey. She is going to be strong and healthy at the end of it.”

Hazel is resting up.

This hope did not disappoint because this year Little Hazelnut is cancer free. Hazel’s family is so thankful, and we praise God for His healing power through Christ Jesus.

No more cancer!!!

We pray that God will continue to heal of his little children battling cancer.

Romans 5:3-5

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us -- they help us learn to endure.  And endurance develops strength of character in us, and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation.  And this expectation will not disappoint us. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
