Dahlia Clark Hanshaw has been through so much this year. She is a manager at Wendy’s in Norwalk, Connecticut but she also has another full-time job, battling breast cancer. Dahlia is known for having a positive demeanor and uplifting attitude.
You would never know she was facing cancer by talking to her. Dahlia's doctors all rave about her and how strong she is and wrote a letter to the Today Show asking them to honor Dahlia in some way. Dahlia's inspiration for fighting cancer is United States track and field olympian Allyson Felix. She says that Allyson's determination on the track helps her to keep fighting cancer day after day. Hoda Kotb, a news anchor and former breast cancer survivor, got word of the story and decided to surprise Dahlia with an amazing gift.
