Texas resident Aaron Mitchell lost everything when Hurricane Harvey came though his community. After the storm, he walked almost 12 miles just to get to safety.
Because cell phone service is down everywhere, many survivors have not been able to get in touch with family members. This was the case for Aaron as well. Watch as he pleads on the live news report for his family to contact him and let him know they are okay too. Thankfully, Aaron’s father saw the broadcast and was able to get ahold of Aaron using the news stations special phone.
Their emotional phone conversation was captured on camera. This devastating storm has torn many families apart. I'm so glad this man was able to get in contact with his dad. Prayers for those still waiting to hear from loved ones.
