Pastor Thomas McCracken recently received a call from the Department of Social Services asking him if he could perform the funeral for a man with died with no family. The pastor accepted and took on the duties of executor of the estate. But when Pastor Tom went out to visit the man's home, he was heartbroken over the scene. What looked like a normal cabin from the outside had a heartbreaking secret. Tom couldn't believe that a man in his own community was living in such horrible conditions just a short walk from his own church.
