2-Kings

2-Kings Summary

The second part of the Book of Kings, 2 Kings, outlines the destruction of the Jewish kingdom by Babylon in 586 BCE. It also creates a foundation for a return from exile for the people of the Jewish Kingdom. The reason that the Book of Kings is split into two parts is because there is so much history within that one book of the Old Testament; it is easier to digest in two distinct parts.
